To strengthen our Electrical Asset team in Ostend, we are looking for an:
As an Electrical Asset Engineer, you will be responsible for further implementing the strategic maintenance plan, with a primary focus on the electrical (and electromechanical) discipline. You will take into account the various aspects involved in operating the three wind farms.
In this role, you will be part of our Operations & Maintenance team, which oversees the operation and maintenance of the offshore wind farms. Within the electrical team, your main focus will be on the assets of the offshore high-voltage substations, with a potential extension to the specific electromechanical scope of the wind turbines.
You are jointly responsible for implementing the strategic asset management plan for the electrical assets, analysing scenarios and their impact, and managing the associated budget. You continuously seek process improvements.
Together with the electrical team, you ensure that Otary's offshore high-voltage substations (Rentel, Seastar, Mermaid) are optimally maintained, both correctively and preventively, with a focus on condition-based maintenance. Maintenance is performed in-house and through external specialists.
You thoroughly prepare maintenance activities, set priorities, and establish a clear planning. In the control room, you monitor assets in real time and maintain direct contact with the stakeholders and the TSO.
In care of failures or downtime, you help identify the cause and find quick solution. You keep the Operations & Maintenance procedures up to date with quality and HSE guidelines and manage work permits.
You ensure safety and quality in consultation with the QHSSE team and oversee compliance with the highest standards. You coordinate external service teams and safety measures.
You report to the Asset Lead Electrical.
You have a bachelor's degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or renewable energy technology.
You have at least 3 years of experience in energy projects (preferably, offshore wind), large industrial installations, the oil & gas industry, or an electrical environment.
You are a teamplayer with a high level of integrity.
You have strong judgment skills to make high-quality decisions.
You are proactive and hands-on.
Knowledge of SCADA & IT Systems is a plus.
You speak and write fluently in Dutch and English.
You are willing to work offshore (transport by vessel, working at heights).
You are willing to work one week per month in two shifts (early shift: 7h - 15h and late shift: 14h - 22h) and be on call one weekend every two months.
